Great Multi-player Gaming

In the past half year, we’ve possibly been graced with two of the greatest multi-player games ever.  Both are sequels to previously great games, but both take things to a whole new level.

Modern Warfare 2Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was released back in November and broke records as the fastest selling game of all time.  Popular on both consoles and PC’s it became an instant hit. PC gamers moaned as it came without dedicated servers, using gamers themselves to host as listen servers sometimes causing laggy matches. Luckily it was a good enough game to overcome such negatives, with many great game types, my favourites being demolition, domination and the more objective based games.   Continue reading Great Multi-player Gaming

i37

Last weekend I went along with Lee to Warwickshire to take part in the latest i series LAN, i37.  iSeries are LAN’s run 3 times a year for 2,000 gamers in a huge hall.

We arrived on Thursday just afternoon and got the drinks in.  This went on until we finally decided to join the queue to check in at around 8pm.  It was a fairly large queue and Lee was now rather drunk, but by 9:30pm we finally got our passes.

May Day, May Day!

As we have the previous 2 May Day Bank Holidays, Lanarchy attended the St Marks Church Hall Family Fun Day in Watford.  As usual we attracted all the young lads wanting to play computer games while their parents looked round the different stalls.

Although we don’t really have anything to gain from this, its nice for us to be able to give a little something back to the venue that has given a home to 30 or so LAN events.

While yesterday was a hot, but overcast day, today was sunny and bright along with the heat.  The shorts go on and the air conditioner came out!  As did the ghetto blaster while me and Nurcan headed into the garden to move the lawn and rip out weeds.  it took a couple of hours hard work, but it has started to take shape.  A few more hours and we should be ready for a summer BBQ/pool party!
